Social Responsibility Statement

OUR COMMITMENT TO HERITAGE, INCLUSION AND SUSTAINABILITY

Founded in 1987, the Andrés de Ribera Foundation is a public cultural institution committed to the preservation, management, and social use of one of Jerez’s most exceptional heritage complexes, comprised of:

  • Neoclassical mansion (1860)
  • Winery pavilions (1881)
  • Listed historic gardens
  • collection of historical timepieces (17th–19th centuries)
  • Collections of walking sticks, civil silverware, Flemish tapestries (17th century), and a late Gothic sculpture (late 15th century)

CLIENT CONTRIBUTIONS AND SUSTAINABILITY

The rental of facilities for meetings, incentive programmes and events, as well as museum admission fees, are fundamental contributions from our clients, which help sustain the museum's tangible and intangible heritage.

Our spaces—especially the Palacio del Tiempo museum and the conference centre—are uniquely positioned to offer a high cultural value for MICE clients while directly supporting our mission of preservation and public service.

SOCIAL AND EDUCATIONAL IMPACT

  • We host cultural, social and educational events open to the community, ensuring vulnerable groups have access to our venues and fostering a sustainable use of resources for cultural purposes.
  • The Foundation promotes guided visits for children and young people, encouraging heritage appreciation, artistic sensitivity, and environmental awareness through direct contact with our protected historical gardens.

INCLUSIVE SPACES

  • The Palacio del Tiempo museum and the event facilities at Museos de la Atalaya are certified by PREDIF (Spanish National Platform for Physical Disability). All public areas are accessible for individuals with reduced mobility.
  • Braille materials are available for visually impaired visitors.

TRANSPARENCY AND PUBLIC ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Our Service Charter is available on this web
  • Clients and collaborators may request additional information or documentation at any time

OUR SUSTAINABILITY PRINCIPLES

The Foundation is firmly committed to sustainability and responsible event planning. We seek to balance economic activity with social impact and environmental protection.

We encourage event organisers to adopt best practices aligned with our institutional values:

  • Km0 and local sourcing: Prioritise local, artisanal, and seasonal products.
  • Waste management: Encourage recycling, avoid single-use plastics, and coordinate clean-up logistics after event setup/dismantling.
  • Noise control: Ensure compliance with municipal noise regulations (La Atalaya is in a central residential area).
  • Resource efficiency: Promote responsible consumption of paper and water, and respect our gardens, listed as botanical heritage by the Government of Andalusia.
  • Respect for historic infrastructure: All event operations must preserve the integrity of our 19th-century buildings, emblematic of Jerez’s winemaking heritage.
  • Health & safety: We maintain an updated Self-Protection Plan and coordinate event logistics with all clients in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

By hosting your event at Andrés de Ribera Foundation, you contribute directly to the preservation      of our heritage, the promotion of inclusive culture,        and the sustainable development of our community.
